Volunteer for Helping with Poppy Campaign

On this page, you are asked to review the table to the right to choose when you can attend either Costco or Walmart to distribute Poppies.

The form on the left will ask for your Name (required) , Phone (required) and Email address (optional but we need it to send you confirmation of your choice(s)).

After reviewing the table use the form to select the shifts you can work.

Please make 3 choices. If one or two of your choices on the Main Signup Board at the Legion is already taken, then you will still have another choice(s).

Times are 2 hours blocks.

Volunteers can chose multiple shifts before submitting  the form.

• 9 am – 11 am
• 11 am – 1 pm
• 1 pm – 3 pm
• 3 pm – 5 pm
• 5 pm – 7 pm (ends at 5:30 Nov 5, Nov 6)
• 7pm – 8pm (except Nov 5, Nov 6)

Costco

Costco Instructions

“When pinning at Costco, please arrive 5-10 mins before your shift to relieve the person(s) you are taking over for as parking gets crazy at times. Please wear Blues and Greys if you have them, if not please dress nice as you represent our Legion. There is no need to go to the Legion before the shift as everything that you need will be at the Costco table.

NOTE: If you are going to be late for Costco, please call Gerry Ciurysek @ 519-817-3604 & he will call the person you are relieving, or he will take part of the shift.

BIG NOTE: I would like to see everyone standing while pinning, sit if you need a break; Costco will provide chairs but not Walmart (you will have to supply your own). If you are physically not able to stand for the 2hour shift, then by all means please sit.”

Walmart

Walmart Instructions

“When pinning at Walmart, please come to the Legion to pick up your Poppy box & Volunteer Badge by the office. Please wear Blues and Greys, if you have them, if not then please dress nice as you represent our Legion. Go to the bar if there is no one in the office, please fill in the sign out sheet & return your Poppy Box after your shift to the Bar; DO NOT hold onto the box & funds. PLEASE RECORD YOUR DATE & TIME OF YOUR SHIFT WHEN YOU SIGN-UP!!”
